Asking questions is a normal part of life, but sometimes those questions lead us into areas of a spiritual nature where we don’t know how to find answers. You have come to the right place!
Here are some common questions. If you have a question and the answer isn’t on this page, contact us. We are Here For YOU. We would love to talk with and pray for you.
Question 1: I have made a lot of mistakes. Can I really be forgiven?
Knowing your sins are forgiven and you are ready for heaven is as simple as these steps:
Step 1: Admit you have sinned.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23.
Step 2: Believe in Jesus.
“For God so loved the world , that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have eternal life” John 3:16
Step 3: Confess Jesus is your Lord.
“if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
Question 2: Does prayer really work?
The answer is not just yes, but ABSOLUTELY yes!
Throughout Scripture we read of the promised power of prayer, like John 14:14, “You may ask me for anything in my name (Jesus), and I will do it.” As a praying church, we have also seen prayers answered. Prayer is the key to reaching God and releasing His power in a needy world.
Question 3: God wants me to be happy, right?
The answer is yes (as a believer, you are His child and He loves you)
…and no (your feelings of happiness are not His main priority)
Many mistake and misuse Psalm 37:4, (“Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”) to mean that “God just wants me to be happy”. Unfortunately, we are usually trying to please ourselves and our own desires and we completely miss the ‘delight in the Lord’ piece of this verse. The great news is, when our attitude shifts and we care about pleasing the Lord, He gives us desires that reflect him more, and our self-centered ways less. This DOES make us happier and more fulfilled.
John 3:16 is clear that God’s desire is that no human being is separated from Him. His heart beats for the world, and the greater picture. Sometimes that means that we are going to experience pain in a sin-sick world. Sometimes we will enjoy happiness. Sometimes we will have the privilege of caring for another as they travel through a time of pain. God does, in fact, have a plan for your life and joy for you in the midst of sorrow.
Question 4: Is there a purpose for my life?
Jeremiah 29:11 is a favorite Scripture dealing with this common fear.
“For i know the plans and purposes i have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Wow! What an awesome promise from God. But wait, it’s followed up with another one! Verse 12 tells us what to do with this knowledge. “then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and i will listen to you.”
Are you wondering about God’s plan for your life? Ask Him. He created you and says you are ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’ (Psalm 139:14). He most definitely wants to interact with you and share His plan for your beautiful life.
